Zl 1000 speedo/120 mph

Hi,someone trying to sale me a speedo for ZL1000,BUT I QUESTIONED THE FACT THAT ITS TOP SPEED ON IT IS ONLY 120mph,he replied by saying its u s a import would that make a difference ? .I am sure this is not for the ZL1000 BUT ITS THE SAME SHAPE,ANY IDEAS ?????:iamwithstupid:
 
The US model speedo for the ZL1000 reads to 160 mph in white letters and 260 km/h in blue letters.
 
Thanks for that ,so what would this 120 mph speedo had been on,250EL ??. Its the same shape & looks of the ZL1000,DOES ANYBODY KNOW ??????????:iamwithstupid:
 
i beleive the speedo on a jap import zl750 shows up to 180kmh but i think it only reads in kmh

Probably from something in the '90s. Not sure how the gears vs tire size work out, it may still function correctly. Since the same speedometer went on multiple bikes, I would guess that the gearing at the speedometer drive was changed to compensate for tire/rim size and the actual speedometer would work with the any correct combination.
