If you can't find anything to your liking....you may want to invest in this. When I had my 600, it proved invaluable when I hooked up an oil pressure gauge.

Checked you profile, you have the fast ZL600. Don't know if this would be of any help, except to get the general idea. I wish they had made the 97 the same as the 86. I would still have mine, but the 97 was soooooo slow in the 60-70mph range, 0 throttle response...I'm 210, so that's prob the reason. Lard don't go fast. hehehehe

For what it's worth, I'v got the factory 900 manual and they're pretty blurry too! :)

I hate it when I start to think!!

I actually have the manual for both an 86 and 96 ZL600, the 86 diagram is the blurry color one but the 96 is pretty decent. Will try to scan them at work tomorrow...

As a side note, the '86 manual covers the ZL500 and ZL600; never heard of a 500 before...

:hello: Dirt, you better snag up that ZL 600 manual. $27 is a great deal. You probably need the ZX 600 manual to.

I've got the ZL600 supplement from the download section, and I can read most if not all of what's there on the color diagram. If you want me to try and translate anything for you, let me know. Also, the larger scale diagrams in the supplement may be enough for specific jobs involving a certain part of electrical system, and they're much clearer than the whole thing shown at once.

May want to wait until you can get one for the correct year, otherwise you'll spend half your time wondering if the info is applicable. For example, the '86 manual shows 3 relays in the junction box while the '95-96 only shows one. Since I don't have a 600, nor have I ever had one, I can't say what the difference is; may want to Furchin, he has an '87 ZL600.

    Dirt,
I can send you a expanded copy of the wiring diagram if that will help. Or call me, I'll help all I can.
