I've been having issues with my ZL600 occasionally stumbling at idle, some backfire at mid range rpm. I pulled the tank while removing the choke cable and #2 plug wire fell out. Looking into the boot it has a screw that the plug wire was pushed into to hold the wire in place. Neat trick, but it means I need new wires. Any suggestions on where I can find a new set?

Any copper core stranded 7mm wire will work. Some automotive stores sell it by the foot. I bought the accell #3008 set for a V8 and just snipped the boots off. I also slid the outer black cover off the old wires and put it on the new wires.

You may be able to just cut 1/4" or so off the old wire and re-use it.

What they said.
Easy fix.On the coil side you have the same kind of spike. If the wires are still flexible, just nip the ends and put them back on.If they are hard,I would replace them.Any 7mm plug wires will work(as long as they are not solid core). They make some pretty cool colored wires now too.So have fun shopping.
