Hi

Hopefully there should be an attachment with this. Valve clearances for zl. I have managed to obtain a motorcycle service manual supplement for ZL600. There is a short description of how to do valve clearances. I need to do valves on ZL400. Can anyone shed any more light on the description in this manual. I shall describe incase image has not worked. #4 piston TDC it suggests you measure and adjust inlet #2 and #4 and exhaust #3 and #4. Then #1 piston TDC it suggests inlet #1 and #3 and exhaust #1 and #2. The cylinder order is from left to right as you sit on bike in order 1,2,3,4. Have I read and understood this correctly, I don't want to be making a mess of things.
If anyone needs any picture or info from this book let me know and I'll do my best to display images and info, may need some help on the PC side of things though.

Many Thanks

when it comes down to it, just make sure the valve you are adjusting is closed! I save myself from taking the sidecover off and just bump the starter until the cam lobe is pointing away from the rocker. then adjust those 2 valves simultaneously with 2 feeler guages or one through both valves
