I don't know, maybe it's just me, but do you guys find yourselves buying stuff for your Eliminator, even when it doesn't NEED it? I mean, I'm surfing eBay the other night and saw this auction, and something inside me said, BUY IT! Why? I don't know, just had never seen one before, made an offer and the guy accepted! Mine is in fine shape, but when would you ever find a NEW one if you needed it? Let me guess, somebody's going to post a link to a Kawaski parts place that still has these in stock for like 20 bucks or something. Oh well, just goes to show you how much I LOVE MY ELIMINATOR! Someday, maybe after I burn up the clutch, I'll slap this puppy on, stand back, crack a tab and pat myself on the back for buying this brand new, RARE, hard to find part! Also, I don't know about you guys, but I buy alot of stuff on Friday and Saturday nights after drinking a few, I also found, as an eBay seller, it's best to have your auctions END on Friday and Saturday nights, get the drunks to bidding and cha ching! $$$$ Guess this time, I was on the other end of the deal, but oh well! It's MINE, it's MINE, it's MINE!!!

So it sounds like you are falling for your own trap with the Fri/Sat night thing there.
It is easy to get into the bidding wars and get carried away. Probably easier with the V65 since there are about 6 times the parts for sale.
I don't know if that part is available or not, but if you feel good about it, don't go check it out. I'm sure someone else will tho, like you say. Haha! So, now we all know where that part is when we need it.

i am an ebay addict !!! yeah, i said it, but normally do not do the auction thing unless i really need something. i usually stick to the buy it now stuff ! i'm going through ebay withdrawls rite now because funds are tight, but i always find a way to buy parts that i may, or may not need for my bikes. i've got quite a collection of spare parts now, so definately time to slow down on the buying ! Yeah, I constantly watch E-Bay too like I'm sure most on the site do. With these bikes, we really have to since an awful lot is unavailable to us anymore. I've been having funds channeled elsewhere lately so I've pulled back from E-Bay purchases "for the most part":laughing7:.......but still keep track of what's out there. The more ZL's you have, the more important your parts inventory becomes!!!!!!!:rotf: At least I'm more selective with my buying than I used to be. Mark

They're still available new for around the price you paid.

Ya think? I found it at a couple of places in the 175 range, and just because they have it listed doesn't mean they actually have them in stock! Where did you see one for 110?

I bought both, clutch and pulsing within the last 6 months
at cost plus 10% and if I'm remembering correctly you're in the ballpark.
If you post the P/N I can check.

Well, I wasn't bragging because I got such a great price, just beating myself up for buying something I didn't really need!!!!! Hence the title, eBay addiction!!!!

Dont worry Texas, we've all had the "buying too much from ebay" virus. and like you the virus hits on the weekend after having a few, but after awhile it goes away. I only buy it if i need it now. Also prefer the buy it now option. Also noticed you have to do your homework on some parts cause they tend to gouge abit because its for an eliminator.

TSST, if you like, I can send you a list of the things I want for my ZL. . . as long as you're paying for them, I'm good with that! :rotf: :rotf:
I can understand what you're saying, I catch myself doing that frequently as well. So far, been pretty lucky, like you.
Maybe a 12-step eBay withdrawl program???:help:

Next weekend you and I will have a chance to get his keys, hog tie 'em and get him drunk. Then we have to drive to Pine Grove, Pa and help our selves to a couple of bikes. You want one of the 900's or 1000's?

I'm partial to the 1000's but he can't wrench if he's all tied up and drunk so we've got to come at him from a different angle Martin. Besides, he needs a couple of months to get 'em in ship shape so we'll make a move on 'em after that:pistols:!!!
