finally got her running last night :headbang:. but i still got alot to do. think shes gonna need some tuning as well. i get a lean "pop" out of the carbs when its idling and the throttle response could be better. i know they need to be synced but did not get a chance to do that today. i did flush the cooling system out asap and degrease the whole bike down also. my buddy who is a locksmith keyed the original key that only worked the fuel tank to the seat latch and both of the helmet locks.(they were all different).
next comes more tuning and changing the oil and filter before i pull of both wheels for the new tires, front forks for fork seals, and exhaust to repair that nasty exhaust leak between the cross over joint of the two inner pipes.
here's the pictures i took of it last night sorry they are not very good pics and shes all naked but i was excited to finally here her run on all cylinders. as you may see in the pics, someone did a really bad chroming job on the valve cover, side covers, exhaust pipes etc... its all coming off really easy (thankfully) so i can get her back to looking good soon. i'll post up some more pics when i get her back together.. d#mn i love that bike....lol.
