Hi Guys,
I uncovered my bike and was about to take it for an MOT and my throttle cable snapped! I have rung my usual Kawasaki dealerships but the part is no longer available!
I have put a request on the wanted section, but not sure how many people look there, so I am asking here. Does anyone have a spare for sale? :notworthy:
P.s. I am based in the UK.

Or does anybody know if there is a compatible part from another model.
Thanks.

Thanks Mark,
I checked their website but they do not have the ZL listed! Come on guys... there must be a cable lying around in someone's garage. :pistols:

Motionpro does indeed reproduce the throttle cables for the ZL1000. You may have to e-mail them directly, but you will be able to get it.

Cheers Ex,
the word is out - believe! I have found a kit that is made for older bikes but it takes a bit of cutting and soldering which I am no good at. But that will be the last call... Still looking!

Thanks Ex,
I have friend in Amsterdam, I have asked him to email this place (as I do not speak Dutch or German) and enquire on my behalf. Thanks again for the tip. :headbang:

I have a set of used cables that came with some parts I got on Ebay. Thay are used and the adjustment areas show some surface rust but the cables move freely in both cables. If you want them just pay for shipping from Portland, Oregon to you. Let me know.

Only shops can buy at this place, so you should ask your local retailer.
I live in Amsterdam as well and my Dutch and German are both extremely well :rotf:
If you want I can get it for you and post it to you.
I can fly by the shop on Saturday.

Hey Slippery,
Thanks for that; I really appreciate that. I'll Pm you with regards to the price of shipping and my email address etc.
And Don,
if you don't mind passing by that shop and picking up a set for me (if they have one). I could get my friend to meet you and pay you. I'll PM you my email address.
Thanks!

Hi all,
thanks for all the help. Just for reference, I have found a new patent replacement cable sold by D&K Spares in the North of England. It cost me £12.00. Result!
So if any Uk owners snap a cable, these guys can sort you out. :laughing7:
