i have a zl900 it starts well .ticks over good .good response to throttle on the stand but on the road mid range revs feels like petrol starvation .holding back .but give it full throttle and it takes off no problem .i have cleaned out carbs and ballanced them .it does have KN filters on and standard ex .has anyone had the same problem:help:

What jets and needles are in the carbs?

cheersTo help you rule out fuel starvation from the petcock or tank venting try running with the lid open and the petcock on prime, don't forget to switch it back to the "ON" position after your done testing. Mine would run out of steam around 110mph because of a combination of the two. It also caused surging at highway speeds.
Look for kinked fuel lines!!
