hi can anyone shed some light on a problem i have with stating on choke.

when i start my bike on choke it runs at about 1500 revs then after about 30seconds it goes right up to about 4500 revs which is very loud if i try and pull back on the chock lever just a tiny amount it cuts out ,but when warmed up she runs great at about 1000 revs and when i take out for a spin she goes like the wind can any one help out with this problem .it just seems very screaming on choke. cheers dennis the menace

You have to pull it back an even tiny-er amount

When I start my 9 cold - it idles for a few mintutes, then goes through the roof and then I just tweek it back a little at a time 'till it idles normal- but I never cut it off all at once.
