When running hot (and oil is thin) i get a couple of drops of oil that appear to be coming from the water pump bottom bolt. Anyone know of the problem and fixx?

Get an inspection mirror and see where it is coming from. I suspect the weep hole up underneath the waterpump on the pump body itself

Mine did that once in a while for 3-4 months, then really started leaking oil a lot. It was my water pump going bad, you can rebuild it or replace it.

i know this problem from the ninja waterpump too. When oil com down from the inspection hole under the pump, then you can change the oil-seal. another one are die O-rings from the pump, you can change.

kind regards, alex

Are you sure its oil? It could also be coolant Walt. If its oil, as Alex said, it is a cheap fix, lip-seal or maybe an O ring. If its coolant, it could be a problem with a large O ring on the front pump cover, or the mechanical seal, which is a bit more involved to replace..

I'm in the middle of refurbing my water pump at the moment and the info in the tech doc was invaluable. Have a look at it, at the very least, it'll give you an idea of what the guts of the pump look like.
