Picked up this First Gear "Laguna" Mini hard tank bag from ebay store ridersdirect for a best offer of $55. It's a good size for carrying the small stuff you need for just cruising around.
Comes with 3 attachment options - strap-on, which is odd - it came with buckles but no straps. I cut the buckles off because they were in the way. Can also be attached with suction cups, or magnetic, which is what I used.
Before anyone says "Hey dummy, you got it on upside down" yeah I know. The bottom ears are longer, so it straddles the doghouse better. Plus with the opening at the bottom, your stuff falls out when you open it.
I've had it a few months now and am pleased with it. Good quality construction. The zipper appears to be waterproof, but haven't tested that aspect.
Edit to add - That swirly look in the second pic - it doesn't look like that. Some mysterious camera trickery of some sort.
