Just want to pass along a review on the Progressive Suspension hand pump. I never knew that Progressive offered such a pump and after a friend sent a link a couple of weeks ago, I bought one to see if it would be handy on my ZL's and my new Voyager. Let me tell 'ya guys.....I don't know how I've gotten along without it. The one I got was the GP3-100 which goes to 100 lbs. but they sell three of them that are of lesser capacity. If I were going to get one for only the motorcycle suspensions, it would've been the GP3-30 or the GP3-60 one instead but I wanted a higher capacity than those. They have them from 15lb. capacities up to 300lb., depending on what you need. These pumps are very precise since the ends of them WILL NOT let air out when you unscrew the end to take it off. No more guess work....you know exactly how much air you have in at all times!! This is one of those items that you'll wish you had years ago....I certainly did!http://www.davescyclesupply.com/product_details.php?category_id=5&search_string=hand+pump&search_category_id=5&item_id=505

Thanks mark! I know what a PITA it is without one. I'll add this to my Christmas List
Oh yeah! Those are nice pumps and I have the 60 psi scale on mine. Generally, the rule of thumb is to have what you want to read in mid-scale. I almost went with the 30 psi but wanted just a bit larger range. I started using that type of pump with my mountain bike about 12 years ago (came with the bike) and when I gave that bike to my son, I gave him the Fox pump thinking I would never need one. Wrong! However, I think the Progressive Suspension pump is better anyway.

I agree, I probably should've went with the 60 psi one but wanted to use it on bicycle tires too. Still, it does a fantastic job and plenty sensitive for the forks. My wife rides on my ZL's too and with this pump, adjustments are quick and easy! I'll use it alot....I already have.

I bought two a while ago, the first one I saw, I bought in the 100Ib range and I found it wasn't precise enough for my needs (I only put 5lb in the front forks and 10lb in the rear shocks) so I sold that and got the 30lb one, as it shows in one pound increments.
Best piece of kit I've ever bought, I reckon, how ever it was bl**dy expensive in Oz ($100.00 !!!), but once you've used one, you'll never go back to the old way.
Mick.

I agree with the above posts. These are very nice. Markus56 brought his with him up here to the house not long ago so I was able to see it in person before buying one. They are smaller than I thought they would be so it makes it very nice for travelling. I ended up buying the 60 pound one I think. Thanks for the tip Markus56. Later.

You're welcome Jared........they are great little pumps! Bacchus, what kind of price can you get on the 60# gauged Progressive pump? I'm going to get the 60# one just for a little more accurate readings down lower on the scale. The 30# one won't be big enough since my Voyager will hold more than that and may need to go up that high at times. If you guys want one for only the ZL's, the 30# would be sufficient since the max air pressure for the rear is 28 #'s and even 20 would be alot for a ZL shock. I generally use 10 to 15 in the rears to stiffen them up and 5# in the front forks. These are great little pumps guys!

I'll bet they're made by the same manufacturer Kenny. Anybody lookin' to get one of these ought to jump on the one from Marks' link (Amazon). It's nearly half what I paid for the last one I bought....Amazing Price! :headbang:

Hmmm this is an oldish post.
I have been looking for one of these hand pumps,
especially cos they have a 2 stage valve where you dont lose the pressure in whatever you just pressurised.....
Unfortunately the Amazon link doesnt work for me now..
Anybody got a more recent link ...or have a spare pump (60 PSI) they might want to sell me?
I have Paypal but would need a week or so to transfer funds, havent used it in a while:)
EDIT :How accurate is the gauge? 1lb increments?
Also I remember seeing some kind of fork-air-balancer-pipe-assembly linkage thingymabbob where it gave you only one air valve to fill both forks?
Maybe not on this site, more likely through a link from this site, but I lost it.
Anyone know what I am talking about?
Cheers
