I've just been and bought 4 "silicone" leads .. two local auto parts stores don't carry copper core sparkplug wire anymore!!
So have to cut the moulded ends/caps off them and clean and re-use the existing caps etc.

Cool .. thanks for that Mark .. I'll see if I can source those caps locally ..
I'd read about them elsewhere but thought you may have had another solution besides that.
Good to see membership rising .. keep up the good work ... much appreciated!!

yea i got it for $1000 + $250 for the repair total$1250. not bad for an 86 eliminator with only 8300 miles. it will run i had it up to 110 mph. but then it bogs at 110 mph. i still have 4500 rpm's to redline so im guessing top speed of around 140-155mph.

You are probably running out of fuel at 110, Ive had the same problem with my ZL1000. I just did a petcock kit and cleaned the screen now she will do 130 +

The plugs are HONDA. Goto you Honda dealer give them the NGK number they are 4.50 per here in Cincinnati.
The end caps screw right off
I used Accel 7mm Solid core wires got them from Advanced Auto parts for 19.00
Yellow wires kinda go with a black bike
