I put new throttle cables on, was waiting for those to put in my carb kits. here is where i'm at. Dynojet stage3 with the largest jet they give ya. fuel level at 16.5mm highest it will go without bottoming out on the carb housing. 3rd groove on the needles. K&N RC2774's and slightly modified stock exhaust. Bike pulls real well all the way past redline and runs very strong at all other rpm ranges. I feel that i can still give it more fuel. The dynojet kit comes as a kit with the RC1824 filters which are shorter(not as much surface area) and that leads me to believe i can go richer yet. I'm considering going with factory pro jets and upping the pilot and the main. Only thing is they have a differnet number system than dynojet so i'll have to start over. If i can afford to i'll have it dyno tuned. Hope to have some 1/4 mi ET's by the end of the season. I have yet to launch this bike on a sticky track, if anyone has some pointers please post away.

I would like to know the 1/4 times as that's about the same as my bike. My old Eli from many years ago was all stock and I was able to run mid to high 11's all day. I was about 30 lbs lighter and a lot less fearful. The present Eli has the stage 3's, pods, ignition advace, and will pull harder from 0-100 MPH but it feels like it runs out of air past that. Might have something to do with building a low pressure area behind the carbs, I don't know. As for launching, fab up some bones to put in placce of the rear shocks and drop it low. Drop the front suspension down. Suspension squat makes hard launches hard to control. Feather the clutch while keeping RPM's between 8 and 10k and hang on.

What kind of pods? if K&N are they the 2774's?

Yeah the 2774's.

Yeah the 2774's. What jets, float height, and exhaust?

The jets are the stage 3's recommended in the Dynojet kit, does 132 sound right? The 136's are still in the kit so it was the next size down. Exhaust is stock, float level just a hair over factory spec. Power is really good all through RPM range. It just feels like too much wind resistance to overcome once I get into triple digits. I had my first Eli into the 130ish area so I know it's possible but I was a lot younger, lighter, crazier and it was a 10 mile straight stretch of road. I am going to move the needles up a slot some time this winter and see how she runs, but since the weathers gone south around here, it's not a big priority.
