View Full Version : Handlebars
Does anyone know the part number for the original Kawasaki Handlebars for the 1985 ZL900? The ones that were on there when I got it are a bit too long and have a slight kink in them.
Thanks for any help.

I heard the stock bars on the 900 were commonly known as the "Daytona" bend, I dunno if this is true, but that's what a little bird told me, I think!

Yup she is up and runnin :cool10: I got to make a overnight trip and a few small trips on her before winter set in.I just need one of the knee pad assembly not right shur which one,she looks fine without them on her though.Thinkin a set of clubman bars for her this year I think they are also called caferacer bars. The clocest lookin bars to the 900 i would think is the V MAX bars.

I couldn't get the original bars, but a mate of mine got me some similar ones, but a bit higher than stock.

Hey ACP,
you said that you got some bars for your Eli that were a little higher than stock.
Where did you get them from and how much ?
Cheers,

good ole dennis kirk, has replacement bars, the bars are called a Daytona bend, the you can get the rise in variouse diff sizes. other than the clip-on style (GPZ stuff) I dont think any company produces "bars" exclusive, they buy then just like we do and put thier own part number on them

acpACP.....Is that the new bars in the gallery?
I like the look of the higher bars. looks like a vmax feels. I don't like mine, they seem to put too much weight on my wrists.
Do you have stock cables?
Hey Mark,
Yes those are the higher bars, they do take a lot of weight off of your wrists because you're sat slightly more upright with them. Which is a good thing for my shoulder.
I still haven't managed to find where he got them, or a part number. I only had time to ask him if he's free this weekend to help me fit my new light and dials :D

Bulls bars are 4inches taller than mine and he has OEM cables
They're the standard cables. I can't get a part number I'm afraid as he just walked into a nearby bike part shop and picked them off the wall.
