new exhaust

does anyone have a way to get rid of the megacone exhaust on this bike? i dont care for the mufflers and dont care how loud it gets....i dont have baffles right now anyways and am jetting the carbs to put on the individual k&n's (one on each carb) instead of airbox. so any pointers would be nice? what about the zx600 exhaust........4 into1 or the 4 into2? any ideas and support would be great......by the way i have a 97 zl600

There's a good assortment on the web, depending on what you're looking for. Do you want to keep the duals or would you be happier with a single exit?

i think i would like a single exit? not sure just know i want a different look than what it has....i just cant get used to the megacones........but dont want the crotchrocket exhaust mufflers either.........want a more throaty sound and love the chrome. cobra is the only one i could find and it was way out of my price range

Almost all of the aftermarket exhausts will be pricey. Dale Walker has a kit for the 900, not sure about the six. They are only slip ons though, not the whole exhaust system.

im ok with just slip ons. just dont like the mufflers.......will any of the ninja 600 exhausts bolt up? with maybe a muffler shop adding some bend? anyone know

Too bad the cans have been destroyed by removing the baffles, those things in good shape are worth a small fortune! There are a few and I do mean a few companies that make cans for the eli. Might i suggest checking out the gallery pics, if you see something you like I am certain you can get the info you desire. Also check out the KERA gallery, lots more photo's there.
BTW, I dont think ANY header or pipes from anything but an Eli will bolt up, least thats the case with the ZL1000 and the 900.

I would suggest custom build, but that would be expensive, I'd go with wuputt's idea. Good luck with it! Let us know what you find.

Hey there, I just purchased and am having installed the Dale Walker "Hole Shot" slip ons.... I have heard really good things about them and I am also having a Stage ONe jet kit and Timing advance put on.
