well many of you all would like to have a bigger tank, I took the liberty to photo shop a vulcan 5+gal tank on the eli. aoh the pipes/exhause were swiped from a zx10.... here is a pretty good idea of what that tank would look like on an 85/86 I left the Vulcan dash on it also

Well mark if those Knuckleheads @ occ can build the crap they do I would think that anyone with a decent tig/mig could make it happen couple tabs, some shock rubbers, its a done deal..... and if I recall the drifer tank is only around 4 gal, a bit narrower the eli frame has gobs of room to work with the tank was made to only to make the engine appear alot bigger adds to the "big guy stance" with the plethora of gas tanks to choose from I am confidant that a 3+gal tank could be found that wont comprimize the "Look"

the best tank mod i have seen for the eli is one that was widened. retained the stock lines and looked nice. I'll have to remember where i seen it.

I think I know what you are talking about and it seems to me it was on a Euro Eli site, possibly Denmark. They took the Eli tank and added about 1.5" to either side of the filler neck. A lot of work but it looked clean.
The range on the Zl's is my biggest complaint. Rick, I like the pic. Little extra time on your hand from all the snow? Too bad it couldn't be 3D where you could rotate it and get a top and front view.

Hello all,
I have about 8 of the expanded tank pics. Not sure how to get them on here though as my dial up connection is horrible. Don't remember where they came from. 3 of the pics are of a finished tank on a bike - painted and all done. The others are of how the guy did it. Let me know if there is an easy way to get the pics on here or if anyone wants to see them. I can down size them but I don't know if that will give a good enough view. I've been building a pole barn here at the house so I'm on and off of here at random. Later.

Well for now we have to post on a website such as photobucket and link to them in the forum using the img bbcode. If you click on the bbcode link down below to the left when your typing your post it will tell you all about it. You can always email me the pics, if your dialup will allow it and i'll get them uploaded here and send you the links or i can post them. Those are the pics i seen but cant find them anywhere. Pretty slick job.

The one you're probably remembering is the red 900 that UKPete had on the EliminatorGB site. Unfortunately he's sold it now and I don't know who's got it. That was really nicely finished off and unless you knew your Eliminators, you couldn't tell it had been done. I'm sure I've got a picture somewhere on my 'puter but I'm b*ggered if I can find at the mo.

Ok Mark, sounds like the easiest way would be to just email them one at a time to you. They range from 34 kb to around 800kb I think. Once you've got them you can do whatever you want with them to get them posted. I'll title the emails Big Tank pic #1 etc. in case you have a spam filter running or something. Later.
