The back of the tank needed to be tapered more and more rake where it meets the seat. Looks too much like something you would see on a fat boy. Good idea and a lot of work, but just didn't really care for the final fit.

Very first pic, reflection looks like the photographer is wearing a kilt. How many members do we have in Scotland Mark?

Kawasaki Krazy is from scotland i think.
Mileage on a stock zl before hitting reserve 80 to 102 miles from my experiences. Now i get anywhere from 69 to 78 since stage3. haven't tried any trips yet to see what the highway mileage is.

Ok, guys,
I found the old email that some of those pics came in. The blue bike and the red tank - not sure if those pics are posted here - are from a guy named Jean-Paul (alias JP or JeePeeminator ). I think he was on the KEGH site. And in the email he had been talking to Harri of the KEOGG site. Not sure if the black tanks pictured above are actually the blue ones on the finished bike. Jean-Paul also talked of a company (overseas I'm assuming) that used to build the tanks like that for people but had gone out of business. The emails were forwarded to me from the Eliminutter a long time ago. Later.
these are from Germany

I dont think ita an original modified tank I think its a modified tank from anouther bike, very much like a maxim tank,
i am 99,99% sure it is made from an original :banghead:
i can ask it from him if needed, and i think he sells them too, but the price :bootyshake:

Here's how my tank was modified. More photos on my website plus how to convert a chain drive wheel to shaft.

I love that ZL... very crispy looking,... I am going for "stock" myself.. and will just deal with the 80-100 mile rides..... smoke break needed anyway.
