Well guys I did a 4 or 5 hour search on this here Internet for parts for that 86' I got comin on the 6th and parts Rick is looking for on his 85', there in the same garage and can't see having his looking like a red-headed beaten step-child with mine being all PURTY and nice. Making a long story even longer I found an 85' with 16k on it, initially was told 6k, this scoot benn sitting, garaged the whole time, for over 10 years, was "lightly dumped" (way the guy puts it) when it was left on the shelf.
Any who I talk him down to $550 and arrange with the shipper bringin my bike on the 6th to grab this up on his way by for another $150 - but of course in any long tale there's a glitch -- He's not the owner, he's the one been garaging the scoot for his best bud, the owner told him sell it and he'd split the bucks with him --- told him what he was selling it for and whoa nelly, no way no how ---- the deals back up to 7 bills.
I have until tonight to make or nix the deal - due to shipping - I will be in the dog house with the battle axe (meaning no damn nookie) and I get real ornery w/o me nookie if I don't get some help recouping the funds quick as I can. I need the rad shroud (yep it has one) chrome side covers, h-bars and the left side muffler. Besides the speedometer being cracked and the front rim having a good sized nick the bikes in good shape and clean.
Who out there can do me a solid that needs parts? Need to justify to myself I can do this.
