Can't have too many pics. sounds like you and Marty spend alot of time together riding. Enjoy it AND the pics. Someday they will be all you have and you will wish you had more. Really like the shot of the rear of the bikes together. The back is the best angle of the bike in my opinion. Keep it up Michelle!!

i can see your point about all the picture taking lowlife !
dad, & i, used to ride all the time together, when i was younger. we used the riding as therapy for my disability, & it has helped alot ! over the years, dad has struggled to find a bike that he was comfortable riding. he loved his zl900, but since i was 17 at the time, & kept sneaking it out, he sold it. he was rite for selling it ! i was addicted to the bike, & honestly was'nt mature enough, to respect the bike's awesome power.
when he sold the eliminator, he bought a kawasaki 454 LTD & loved the comfort of the bike. soon after that i bought a heavily modified honda vfr, so dad upgraded to a yamaha virago 700. my roadracing career was blooming at this point, & we did not ride that much, on the road anymore.
to make a long story short, i was still riding as much as possible, & after i bought eleanor last feb. dad wanted to get back into riding together, & now that we have 2 zl900's to ride, we take every opporunity we get to ride, & we are loving every second of it !!! :D so having pics. around is a good thing ! i was just upset coz, michelle wanted me to take too many pics. of her alone, by the river, & dad & i, just wanted to ride. It's a girl thing.
My parents and i aren't too close, we're trying now but the time lost is just exactly that.
Whats your diability if you don't mind me asking, I have heard you refer to it b4, just curious and tactless. If yo uprefer not to discuss it, thats ok too.

lowlife,
i don't mind talking about my disability, coz, i'm very proud to be where i am at in life, & the things i have accomplished.
i was born 2 1/2 months early, i weighed 4 pounds. my real mother was too young to care for me, so, she signed papers to put me up for adoption.
i spent the next 4 months in a incubator when my parents ( MARTY & SHARON ) took me in their home, in the hopes of me being their son, well after a year as my foster parents their wish came true, adoption was granted. it was'nt until i was 3 years old, when i was officially diagnosed with "cerebral pulsey". mom & dads friends told them to give me back to the adoption agency, of course, the refused, saying, " he's our son !" they knew something was wrong , but did'nt know i had C.P.
the cerebral pulsey in my case affected my left side ( arm, & leg )
i had surgery at the age of 6, to enable me to walk without my leg brace, & wheelchair. now i was walking !
dad wanted to find something i could do as physical therapy for my hand. ( my hand would invollintarily close if i was'nt holding something like a ball to help stretch my fingers), so, he came up with motorcycles, coz i loved 2 things then, motorcycles, & trans am's.
since i was too young to drive, the trans am would have to wait !!
he taught me how to ride motorcycles around in the back yard.
i have been riding since the age of six, started moto-cross at 9, then the ninja's come out in my teenage years. i went to daytona, went roadracing school, & recieved my license, i raced several years, nothing proffesional, but still, i have alot of track time under my belt.
january 18 1996,
i was a proffesional truck driver, on my way home from a local delivery in southern ohio, when i hit another semi, at 65mph. ( the other semi was stopped) i spent 6 1/2 months in the hospital, had 19 surgery's. my right leg now has titanium instead of bone, half my ankle shattered, internal injuries, & a list a mile long, of things i broke in my body ! i actually died in my accident, but they were able to bring me back 2 times.
the doctor's all agreed, my racing days are over, & for that matter, so were my motorcycle riding days. dad spent every day by my side, with my first wife, kristy. they both asked me, what i thought of the doctor's news about motorcycles ! i said, " KISS MY ASS DOC., I'LL NEVER STOP RIDING !!!! "
when i was discharged from the hospital, my parents took me to florida to make me happy, since i spent 2 yrs. living there out of highschool. spent 3 weeks visiting my uncle, & my friends, upon my return back to ohio, i had a doctor's appt. i was'nt allowed to walk yet, but had been fitted for a temp. brace ! i put that brace on, & rode my ZX-7 to my appt. the doc. was stunned ! i told him if i cant ride my bike, you may as well put a gun to my head, & pull the trigger.
i still have bad days, where i can barely move, but, nothing will stop me from living life to the fullest !!!! i've come a long way in my life ! nothing will stop me from living the way i want. i even met my birth mother at the age of 30, & in those almost 7 yrs. i have become very close to her as well ! she rides a harley though ! :rotf: hey ! nobody's perfect !!!
CHRIS :cool10: OHH I ALMOST FORGOT, i have my classic trans am too !
" when faced with probs. NEVER SAY, I CANT !!!! i'm living proof that you can !!!!

likewise bro !
i look forward to meeting you, & your daughter also ! tell her i wish her all the best, & if the world is getting her down, be strong, & never give up !! tomorrow will be a better day ! :D CHRIS :cool10:
Wish I could go to M/O to meet you guys, but would mean wayyyy too many fuel stops on the ZL....:)
Chris, nice to see I'm not the only one that got on the bike when I wasn't supposed to.
I got the ZL before my doctor cleared me to ride. At the time I couldn't even lift my hand up to the handlebars. I told my parents I was going to wait until the doctor cleared me to ride, they wouldn't have let me get it if I didn't say that.
Well after two weeks of looking at the bike in the garage I couldn't stand it anymore, managed to force my hand onto the handlebars, by twisting my body to lift it. Took the bike down the road and have been riding it pretty much every day.
Wish me and my dad were close enough to go out on rides together, but as it is, we work shifts that mean we're rarely off at the same time. And I don't think his 750 Honda Shadow would keep up ;)
