Just wondering why some posts are readable and some are so
wide that I have to keep moving from side to side as I read to see
all the text

When a pic is posted the box expands for the whole page.

Good day to you wputt
Some of them seem to stay
and others seem to get really wide
Not all have pics posted- For instance the post I made for carbs or parts
was smaller this morning. As I went to read your post it got wider.
wonder why?
Maybe I need to save for a wide screen for the puter too
I think the carb topic is wide because of the links in there.

Don't save up for a wide screen, save for Mid Ohio trip!
I will bet on you seeing Mark and I B4 Mid Ohio, you have a very interesting historical site close by that I have been wanting to visit!!!
The post you mentioned is still normal width on my puter, will have to wait for the "King" for an answer!

I've been meaning to make a suggestion on this also. It might be too much of a hassle for some but I notice the bigger pics take a long time to load as well as making them go off the screen. I try to keep all my pics at 640x480 pixels or less. This size fits real good in emails, and keeps them from going off of the page on forums, and keeps the file size small enough that my crummy internet connection doesn't take forever to get them to load up. I realize that won't solve all the problems as acp said, the links may still widen the page. You can change your monitor's screen resolution to keep everything on the page but then the icons and text get smaller too I think. There might be another way of doing it - I'm not sure. Just a suggestion or something to think about. Maybe a sticky or tutorial on how to edit the size of a pic for posting on the forum? Just throwing out ideas. Later.

Hey Paul,
Hit the windows hot-key( the key between the ctrl and alt, bottom left of keyboard) and then u and u real fast. That should temporarily solve your problem. Got it? windows hot-key + uu real fast.

Later.Yea your right there Jarney, Sometimes I have my cam set for 640x480, but lately I have had them bigger. It's real easy to change the size once uploaded in photobucket. I'll add this to the "adding pics to your post" :D

thats about all I know about that!Seriously now Paul, Make sure your screen resolution is at least 1024x768. At that resolution the links and pics run slightly off the page but not too bad to be annoying, unless they are my pics that haven't been adjusted. If you need help with that I'lll be happy to help.

Mark
I really dont know how to adjust the resolution.
If you could just give me a good hint on where to find it?
Nevermind I think I found it
Controll panel then display then settings then move the dial at bottom
to desired setting.
If that is way off base stop me before I screw things up too much

If anyone else is having the described problem
try setting the resolution as described.
What a difference.
