The first Thurs of the month there is a bike gathering in the Twin Cities. More specifically South Mpls. (Bring your gun). Its not legal but its so big the cops just look the other way. The streets are taken over and basically if there is enuf room for a bike its a parking spot. Anyway its the place to bring just about anything that runs. New, Old, Show quality, Rat bikes. Just leave your flippin new HD at home cuz I'm sick of lookin at teh the same GD thing with a different color paint, also sick of watching you flex your muscles and ride around cracking the throttle hoping people will look at you. I don't need a HD to get laid...Sorry I feel better. I wish I had taken some pics but I was too busy (pretty girls) and bikes too. Saw a home made diesel that was kind of interesting, lots of vintage bikes of all countries and you usual assortment of new stuff. The vintage stuff brings the most viewers and you can see the harley riders just getting irritated cuz their noise is not noticed. Anyhow guess what...only 1 Eli there and got lots of attention even being parked in teh back 40 so to speak. The older guys commented on it and the younger guys didn't have a clue. Yes gentlemen and ladies we have a rare bike in our ZL's. Nearly everything there had a duplicate with a different paint scheme. If you are in teh area I recommend going just ot see the sights. (Andrew?) Its a decent ride and you get to associate and talk smack with people of all ages and backgrounds. Fun time and go figure...No violence...Hmmmm....is there a theme here? Peace...out

You mutt! You should of called me to let me know, I would of met you down there to cover your back, or backside since it's sort of close to Loring Park!. I think I saw that diesel last summer down there. Is it the one with the Bobcat motor?

Yeah, that.
All that noise and accelerating like an old VW beetle.

Why are you familiar with Loring Park.is there something that ou need to tell the class?
Didn't occur to me that you would be interested in coming down. We rode up with about 15 bikes...guess who had the oldest bike there. Rode with a couple rockets a vmax suzi 109's etc. Man I never expected that many bikes to be there. No I heard them talking about the diesel you were refering too. This was a different one and man with the welds I saw on the neck I would never ride it. One guy had a hydrostatic pump running his. The pump was powered by a Hond 6.5 HP motor. Several Honda scramblers were present. Lots of old BMW's couple Indians and HD's. I like looking at eh old HD's and the HD rat bikes at least they got character. I have a hard time respecting someone that walked off the showroom floor with a 20,000 bike then puts flames on it. Kinda gettin tired of the Big Dogs and such too. Just not different anymore everyone has a 300 MM tire in back. I had 99 miles on my Eli b4 we found a gas station. I led the way back for the fast group as I don't like to ride in teh dark, so we rode like a raped ape till it got dark.

Ok, THAT is an image I was happy without.

I'll try to refrain from using that remark again ACP, though I suspect its replacements will be no easier to deal with.
