WARNING! Stay away from the Mansfield Inn! It makes nasty look good!
Most try to get the Super 8 on Hanley Rd. The Comfort Inn is nice and spendy!
Any on Hanley are good and clean and close to track as are the Bellville spots.
Any motels should be booked before April or May at latest cuz they fill up fast!

Thanks for the info.I was thinking about the camping, but with the bike in the back of the truck,I can't shut the tailgate.Which makes it tough to hook on the camper.I still have not made up my mind yet.If I take the tool box out of the truck it might fit.But what a pain.

Hey John, why don't you hook up with Willie & Jarney and just ride in to MO? I'm would think with Willie buying the 1000 that he may be up for a ride. Dunno though.

jmac, if you take I70, you will be coming within about a 1/4 or 1/2 mile of my house. If you go that route, depending on what time you are in my area, feel free to stop by. I probably won't be able to stay again this year so I'll probably just ride over on Saturday and spend the day. Later.

It makes me a little nervous,to think about riding that far.Plus packing for a few days.(not sure how I would Carie it)I'm trying to talk my brother into going. If I stay in a hotel,I can bring my enclosed trailer.I thought about bringing my raider,so my brother would have something to ride.I would have room for a few other bikes if anyone else want'd a lift out that way,or god forbid a lift home.Plus I would have a place to park the bike if there was bad weather.I know I'm a fair whether rider. It would be fun though.

They make an extended ball hitch that works good for that if your camper isnt too heavy. I have a small pop-up camper so getting it on with the gate down is not a problem.

Bringing an enclosed trailer is a good idea. Chris & I leave ours at the fairgrounds attached to our trucks and locked up. We just ride back and forth to and from the motel to the show. While at the motel everyone chains their bikes together for safety. Bad weather, well that's allways a chance.

That is what I was thinking I would do.Camping would be cheaper.

I thought about the extended hitch, but not sure. His camper is 23ft I think.I've got a 3/4 ton diesel truck,so I know the weight is no problem.I just don't know if it would make it pull funny.

I can ask my buddy if he ever pulled his camper with his extended hitch this weekend. will let you know!

Here is a thought: how about just removing your tailgate for the weekend and eliminate the problem all together.

I think that would work for the ZL,but If I bring the raider It is over 8ft long.

It might just be easier to stay in a hotel.I said something to the wife about it the other day,and she acted like she might go too.(not sure if that's good or bad)Oh well I guess it could be a family trip.
