I would like to invite all of you that come to this website to join in a meet at a resort here in Missouri, I belong to another website/forum for Kawasaki's Called Beartooth Kawasaki we had a meet last year at the resort even though it was only 6 of us that made it it was a great time! I will post a link to the event from the other site (hopefully it will work) I know some of you here also belong to that site as well like ZLMark, Rkerg, and a few others I know it may be hard to make more then one meet with the economy being what it is but I think this would be a great opportunity for some that may not be able to go to the mid ohio meet *which I am going to try to attend!* We dont have exact dates set yet but will probably be close to what they were last year. I would love to be able to meet with any of you that could make it there is alot to do and see around the area where the resort is. Here's the link
http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/rides-events-rallies/60047-missouri-btk-forum-gathering-may-1st-4th-2008-a.html
There are pictures of the resort and some of the things we did/seen on our ride. the food at the resort was excellent!

Yeay the link worked!!!!!

Well, unless something happens, I'll plan on being there. At least Kansas doesn't suck or blow. . . .yet. :rotf: :rotf::laughing7:

Oh, and BTW; the BTK forum Hellion mentions is almost as good as this one. I've learned a lot from there, too. I would highly recommend a visit, if not registering.

(Wonder what Hellion's screen name on BTK is. . . Hmmmmm. . . )

I sent you a PM on that site last week. Maybe it didn't go through? I'm SpectreMan1 over there, since the Spectre's were my first Kawasaki road bike and caused me to fall in love with the Kawi inline 4 power & smoothness!
Oh and Kansas may not suck or blow yet but I've heard other things.. Rofl J/K!

Well Missouri isnt my home state either. I have lived all over the world but I was born and raised in a small town in Michigan on the IN boarder. I still don't feel I have found "home" yet.

I still don't feel I have found "home" yet.

I haven't either, though getting up on two wheels does seem to make "here" much more pleasant from time to time. . . :hello2: I'm not entirely sure there's anywhere that the wife and I would actually fit in, but I've not stopped looking, either!! Of course, I've also found that as I've gotten older, I don't much care what anyone thinks of us nor whether we fit in or not . . perhaps that's the advantage of getting old??? :help:

BTW - lots of ppl on BTK have been asking about the Missouri get-together. Well, not lots, but at least 3 :laughing7: :laughing7: From the response over there, as well as here, looks like it might be a fun time!!

I understand that! And I never really did care what people think of me per say but I do wish I had some friends around here. Seems the people I know here only come over to hang out or invite you over to hang out is if there is some sort of special occasion for it. :icon_scratch: To give you an idea Chris from here has called me on the phone more in the last 6 months just to say *Hey what's up.* Then anyone I have known locally since I moved here in 1996!

Anyway we could make this a sticky so its easier for folks to find ? I'd really like to have a bigger turn out this year for this I am going to call the resort we stayed at last year and get some details on this years prices and such to share with you all. it was a really great place with everything nessicary close by but yet not in an over crowded area. Plus was close to the dam, and lots of great roads and scenery!

OK so far here is what I know we will be using the same resort as last year and they will start taking reservations beginning in march if you call them MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOU ARE WITH THE KAWASAKI GROUP!! that way we are all put in the same area and depending on how many people we get in to a cabin will determine how much it is a night last year we had 5 in one cabin and it cost us about $15.00 per person per night! *not bad at all for what the area had to offer!* you can go to their website and check out the place! Cabins all have kitchens so you don't have to eat in the cafe all the time.

Check out their website. Spring Valley Resort & Sports Bar -- Piedmont, Missouri (http://www.springvalleyresort.com/)

If anyone has anymore questions you can pm me here and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks everyone!

The time draws near Curt and his wife Barb have made reservations and I have also if any of you are defenetly attending now is the time to contact me so I can give the resort a better idea as to how many to expect. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!!

Unfortunately my friend Curt and his wife Barb have a family emergency and wont be comming, that leaves me with 3 confirmed riders comming. I still have the cabin reserved for a party of 6 (just in case) so any of you that want to jump in on this are welcome to even if you dont have your bike running at present you can cage it down and spend some time with some great folks surrounded by some great scenery! I'm telling you this resort is in a great spot and you can fish and explore the area. Last year we rode to Tom Sauk mountain, Elephant rocks state park, and some of the best twisty two lanes with elevation changes in the area! No one will be disapointed with the area! and the cost of the cabins is cheaper then most resorts in the nation! plus it has a resturant and bar right on the premises with a rec. room as well! Let me know ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Well I went it rained the whole time but it was still worth going! LOL Any weekend away is a good weekend! Plus the food at the resturant/bar was goooooooood!
Anyway Hopefully next year it will be nice weather and you in the Zl nation will be able to attend! It really is a great area for riding!
