Does anyone have any pics of the top of the ZL900 motor that shows how the vaccum hoses, etc, route over the valve cover? I finally finished the motor rebuild, got the motor back in, but didn't start filming the tear down until after I had removed all the hoses, etc. I thought that would be the easy part, turns out I was wrong.

If you are looking at the hookup and you have a general idea have a look at the supplement there is a diagram in there that may help.

I thought I had a general idea, however I'm having a hard time trying to fit all the lines under the frame and above the valve cover. One picture with someone's tank off would go a long way. I just have to hope someone has one out there. I can't believe I didn't include that part in the video. :help:

Thanks.

Come to think of it, I eliminated the crap on both my bikes.

Just cap off the tee that goes between the air suction caps on the valve cover with the cap that is already on the suction valve itself. Then cap off the #1,#3,#4 vacuum ports. and put a nickel in the hole left in the top of the airbox.

What did you cap them off with?

No pun intended....Right?

This is easy....Take all of the vacuum lines off and cap the holes except the one for the fuel petcock...If my bike was here I would pull of the tank and snap a few pics...Someone help here!

Nevermind...I lucked up and found that I had taken some pics with my digital camera instead of the video camera before I started taking it apart. Luckily I had some with the tank off so I think I'll be ok now, however I'm still looking at doing away with the vaccum lines.

Thanks everyone, I'll let you know whether it runs or not in the next few days. Keep your fingers crossed for me! :headbang:

Mine is apart but I'm afraid I can't be of much help either. I got rid of everything also and I'm using a Pingel tap so all mine are capped on the carbs.
Here's pics anyways.
