Carb Overflow Tube pics

I cut my tubes to 40mm length (+/- 1.0mm) so the tops of the tubes would extend about 1/4" above the mating surface of the bowl (following Steve's suggestion).

I placed a short length of heat shrink tubing on the shank end of the drain screw so the overflow tubes would rest against this surface for the gluing operation-
This way the drain screws won't rub against the bottoms of the tubes when they are loosened to drain the float bowls.

I chucked up each tube in the hand drill and sanded the bottom portion for better adhesion with the JB Weld. I roughed up the bowl boss as well-
