My rejuvenated ZL1000
After much work and post office visits I am finally done for now... I posted a new album and in the pictures you can see all of the parts that can be polished; were- by Bacchus... I sent him the parts and he sent them back with some serious shine! All it takes to keep them nice is some mothers wax and a towel. Nice job and thank you for the shine, he also made the piece on the back of the seat back rest, looks nicer than the dull black plastic.

Re: My rejuvenated ZL1000
Looks really good.
Never thought of painting the plastic pieces. What did you use?
Is the front fender on backwards?

Thank you very much! There is a historical site not far from my house, I just pulled up on the bike and clicked some pics...the Suffolk County Police will be moving their museum here. If you look in the back of one of the interior shots you can see a Z28 Highway patrol car...it pulled me over on the Long Island Expressway once! Here is a link that has some shots of the place-

Thank you very much! I actually think you are right! I can't believe I put that on backwards... The paint was done at the body shop, the scuffed the pieces then washed in something to prep (not sure what), sprayed black with a flex agent so the paint is flexible and wont peel as easy. I really was fed up with the faded look of the plastic parts, looks so much better on the radiator and neck pieces, rear fender looks smoother and like part of the tail section.
