speedometer drive gear

Hey All! Been reading old posts on speedo issues and I am preety sure mine is the drive gear(?) where the cable attaches to the front wheel. Can I spray some magic grease in it or do they just have to be replaced? If replaced, where do you get one and exactly what are they called? I've been...
