1985 ZL900 Registry

New member her and original owner Zl900 A1 , last four vin 1809 black beauty with 2023 miles haven't riden in 18 years to back surgery was told could never ride again. So now I am 66 and going to ride it just started the restoration process, bike was sitting on wood blocks in conditioned garage covered and all gas removed from tank and carbs. Presently motor oil and filter changed, working on coolant system next. So far needed a starter relay will advise more during progress

Welcome! Start a thread on that baby! Sounds like you've got one of the lowest mile bikes on the forum . I took a few years off due to back issues/surgery, doc said I will find my limits, I did and it wasn't giving up riding. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy the bike when you finish it.

Thanks for the welcome I will start a thread of progress oil and filter changed so far now working on coolant system.....more to come

Good luck with the bike. I got back into riding after a long absence myself. I'll be 65 in 2 mos and over the last few years several times thought I was done. I'm still out there though. Don't plan to stop riding until I can't throw a leg over any more!
