Yup, I've lost my mind PART TWO

Greetings everybody!

For those of you who helped me earlier with my questions about my new ELI, just wanted to update y'all about my first riding impressions.

I can think of 2 words that describe my bike, which actually came as quite a surprise!

"Totally Manageable"

Yup, smooth is the word. I was expecting a steed wild & out of control, what I found is a bike that is quite forgiving and easy to operate.

The powerband doesn't really kick in until about 4 or 5 grand, right? I kept it under 5 the whole first ride. I could feel it wanting to really take off after that magic number, or so it seemed. As long as I kept the tach in and around 3 grand or so, opening the throttle fully didn't scare me, i.e. it would accelerate nicely, but didn't take off like a mongoose on crack.

There's nothing wrong with my bike is there? I'm right about the upper ended powerband?

I can't wait to take it out again! I'm praying for nice weather this weekend!

Yup your right. They really start to pull in that range. Don't get carried away to early. They can still get away from you in a hurry, and the will pull the front if you get after them too hard. They are fun and fast but be aware and comfortable with what you have. Good luck, have fun and for gods sake be careful. OK the last part is a saying that my friends and I have arould here. But most of all enjoy the piece of history that you have obtained.

Careful is the word when you're on two wheels, no if's ands or but's about it.

It's good to take on that "whole new attitude" whilst riding the open aired machine.

Too many idiots out there not looking for ya.

Don't worry, this boy will be taking it slow for a while to come...
(famous last words, eh? :lol: )

Too bad the weather just turned for the worse. I envy you southern boys & gals.

Anyone interested in attending this event at Mid-Ohio?
I will definitly be there, of course I only live 10 min. away. Would sure be nice to see some more Eliminators here!

Hey Zlmark, you planning on coming down this weekend?
Would like to meet up with you if you are.
Not sure which day I will go but am open this weekend, may hit both days.
 
Some of the big boys are already showing up in town for practice, It will be a gfreat weekend, sounds like the weather will hold up for us too.
Hope you can make it.
