1. Guest,
We need good tech writers that are willing to help out here at ZL-OA. If you like taking photos of jobs as you perform the steps on your repairs, have historical ads/documents from old magazines, or any else you think belongs in the Technical Library than you might be able to help. Send a private message to Furchin, Mudrunner88, Chris, Jarney, Wuputt, or Markus56 and we can lead you in the right direction to get started.

Just starting to pull apart the three engines (ZL/GTR/GPZ)to make a zl1100 and just thought....turbo?...it would look cool and add some easy power.

So...not going to work hard at it and build my own kit but just wondered if anyone has a kit fo the ZL they might want to move on....

Pushing my luck...but you never know!

:hello: Doesn't the pistons (8 t0 1 compression) and rods need changed out to do a turbo. Also the end of the crack shaft needs modified. Didn't the ZL 9 blow up during that test. Also they was to do a second part of that turbo test but never did.

Nah...would run fairly low boost. Been involved with a few ZZR1100 turbos so know where the issues are and would open up the oilways. Should make much kinder power than usual hop up.

Not sure what you mean about the crankshaft ends needing mods...not heard of that before.

And it would give me a good reason to get the fuel injection up and running.

    Still...probably just pipe dreams:whistling:

:hello: I was thinking of a blower. That's what I seen was the blower belt/pully off the end of the crank on a 1970s Z 900. I forget when/how I seen it.
