I had my zl 1000 dyno tested a few months ago the max hp was 90 hp with jet kit (factory pro), timing advancer (+4) and the nology hot wires. I had hoped for a somewhat better result as the factory specs for this bike are 110 hp. I know the factory likes to fluff up the numbers, But I had hoped that with the mods I would be closer to that #.

I was wondering if any of you guys have had your zl 1000 or 900 dyno tested, what the results were, and what motor upgrades you have performed. or would suggest.

That's actually inline with what Holeshot Performance is showing:

The factory probably measured HP at the crank with the driveshaft off. It takes HP to spin the driveshaft, so you'll lose some there. 110hp - 20% loss thru drivetrain = 88hp at the wheels. The reverse calculation shows you to be around 112-115hp

Have you had your ZL down the track? I always find that ET is a better 'real world' number than dyno sheets. The dyno shows you the potential of your bike, while ET tells you if you have reached that potential.

I had one of my 1000's dyno'd on 5-7-05. The results were max power of 89.06. I have the Dale Walker holeshots with stage 1 and ignition advance on this particular bike. Would be curious to have the other 2 dyno'd to see the comparison to all stock but will have to wait till I pick up my latest purchase before I consider this foray
