Gel grips

I tried some gel grips on a KZ1000 I had and, for me, they were better than the standard grips but not as good as the foam grips for isolating vibrations.

I've got a similar pair on my EN450. Not real comfortable, small diameter nd I have larger hands. I really feel the road and hands go numb.

Bitwell has some I put on my ZL1000 a few months back that are also a Recoil Grip, more straight up stock looking, and really comfortable to me.

Biltwell grips are available in 1” & 7/8". These grips are made from the same material used in dirt bike and BMX grips: Kraton Rubber. They are softer and more comfortable but also wear quicker. Just like a dirt bike, plan on changing them often, depending on how hard you ride and in what conditions.

I've not noticed much wear, but it hasn't been that long.

Thanks guys for the info and those recoil grips as they seem pretty nice. Bittwell also has them in oxblood color but are out of stock for now on the 7/8 on those and the black ones. No big deal as my foam type ones are still in great shape and really like the way they feel but always like to try different stuff. Mite pick up a pair later with some wide blade levers.

If you search around other forums, the two names that keep coming up are the Kuyakyn ISO grips and the Avon Air Cushioned Grips - not cheap, but those seem to be the two that everyone likes for reducing the fatigue. My atv has a really comfortable set on it - sort of large diameter in the middle (domed) and feel like they are somehow padded - I'll have to look later and see if they have a name on them - they were on the bike when I got it a long time ago. Later.
