North Ga mountains Kawasaki dealer

Hey guys, If any of you happen to up near Helen, Ga or Blairsville, Ga to be exact stop by Depot Power Center. I work there on the sales floor and the guys in the shop are currently working on Zelda. My Zl900. Hope to have her up and running in the next couple of weeks. Not many dealers are willing to work on older bikes but these guys will. The town has some of the best roads around and the scenery is great. About an hour away from the dragons tail. blood mtn from Cleveland to blairsville is like a tiny dragon's tail. Anyway stop by if your up that way. Just off hwy 515. Later

That's great that you work for a dealership and the shop guys will work on your bike. I was only able to find one dealership here in Columbus, Oh to work on mine since the others wouldn't touch a bike that old. It was running on 3 cylinders, they found a bad wire and fixed that but also talked me into 4 hours to clean my carbs. Well I got it back with a flat spot and found they had pinched one of the carb sliders and then right before I put her away for the winter found the spark plugs were fouled out. So that's my spring project to fix. I talked to the service manager and his stance was that 2 sliders diaphrams are worn and that I should replace all of them and another 4 hours of labor, which would come to close to $700, this is after I already paid them $300 for the first visit. He said he couldn't do anything else for me but try replacing the sliders.

Sorry, just my beef with having to take a bike into a dealership in almost 15 years.

Hey rammy I live in Cincinnati.

In Amerlia there is H&H Cycles they ONLY work on older bikes.

If I buy my Dunlops from them, they will do the back tire for 35 bucks.

They check out the old bikes go over and see what you need and let you know. They are reasonable. I know its about an hour away from Columbus.

So far the only ones I have seen who seem to know what they talk about.

And most things are priced right.

Mite get there!! Ya never know....I'm going to the 'Gap' May 12 to the 15th with the 'Kawasaki Triples' group...

http://www.kawasakitriplesworldwide.com/

and we Canadians, when we get away from home, have been know to perhaps have a drink, and plan on a farther tour. (plan drinking...drive sober!!)

I know I'm going to get a lot of grief there...I own a 750 H2 drag triple..which I won't be taking (obvious reasons), so I'm going to take one of my street bikes...either the 600 Eli, 900 Eli or the 7/11 Gixer...

There's not too many 'twisties' where I live, so that, combined with drag racing for years, I not too good at going around corners :? ..

If anyone out there has a two-stroke, or is interested...sounds like a good time coming up in May!! Plus I can use some support. :P

New guy at work has a 2 stroke Suzuki 350 from the 1970's he is not sure the year.

Says if I come get it outta his basement I can have it. But if he has to help I gotta pay for it.

It has been sitting in the basement at least 20 years so it may be a total basket case and not worth getting.
