My first street helmet was bought in 1993 - used my dirt bike helmet (Bell) before that - hahaha. It was a Nolan N27 diamond. It fit great, tool less shield change, quiet, really held up well. Only thing that went wrong with it was the vents wore out and would not stay closed. I couldn't find a pic of one as I don't think they are made anymore (the N27 diamonds that is) - not sure on that though.

Decided to get a new helmet this year and wanted to try the "flip face" style. Bought a KBC FFR model. Not a bad helmet for the price (around $180 at MAW) but you get what you pay for. The Good - good fit, comfy, flip face is really nice - easy to use, really snaps shut, one hand operation, looks good. The Bad - noisy but not horrible - at least compared to my Nolan, I had heard this was a problem with most flip faces - depends on what you are used to I guess, shield is tool less but awkward to work with, tab for lifting shield is off center - meaning one hand operation to lift the shield is difficult as it wants to twist and put itself in a bind, rear lower vents don't want to stay in place, and this helmet seems to let air rush up inside from the lower back - good for summer but not cooler climates. Comes with helmet bag and shield bag. Overall, not bad, but I think I'll look for a different helmet. Definitely sold on the flip faces though, just need to find a better one.

I've heard a lot of good reports about these helmets from numerous Ulysses Club members here in Oz, a bit noisy but tolerable with earplugs, but it's the convienience of the flip face that is the big selling point for me, so I just placed an order for an Rjays Tourtech, which is the exact same model helmet as the KBC one you have there, it's just re-badged for the Australian market $250.00AUD.

My current helmet is an Rjays GP1, which is a re-badged KBC, as well. Good value helmets for the price, I think.

I have a Schuberth helmet. The model is the Concept, and I think they now make
one called a C2 Concept. I really like it.
I got mine at a BMW dealer. I've never seen them at any Yamaha, Kawi, Honda dealers.
They are made in Germany. I've seen them available online, but I don't know how you'd fit one without trying it on.

Its unique in that the whole front face flips up.
It has a clear shield that flips up, and the bottom part that goes around your chin also flips up, making life at gas stations easier.
You don't have to take the helmet off to talk to someone. It also makes it cooler when you're fiddling around, fueling, etc.

Also, it has a sunshield built in that will slide down when you want. You don't have to interchange the clear flip-up shield for a sunshield,
you have both at once. Makes it easy for nightfall.
here are a few pics.

And here is a review I found that someone has written, with some really good pics:

ZL FancyPaint and andytc,

I like the idea of the second smaller internal dark visor, rather than the external ones like on the Nolans. It beats carrying two different tinted (clear and smoke) visors in my saddlebags.

Unfortunately, I do know that Schuberth helmets are not approved for use on Australian roads and the only stockist in australia won't get them AS1698 approved, which is a pity as I've heard some excellent reports about them from those that use them, albiet illegally.

I've got the Caberg V2, full face helmet, with the internal sun visor as well. In a lovely matt black.

I didnt realise the caberg helmets were so popular!

I have the caberg "justissimo", also in a lovely shade of matt black! My favourite feature about these helmets is the flip down visor.

I also have a daytona skull cap for when the mood takes me.

I used to have the Justissimo when I had the Ninja. Obviously I've had to get another one as I was wearing it when I had the crash.
