Big thanks to Wuputt

Just thought it was time someone said a thankyou to Wuputt for cleaning up the SPAM that has been getting on here recently.
I hope ROSSCO makes a full and speedy recovery :D
But in the mean time - well done Wuputt for stepping into the breach and clearing the crap out :D

Thanks Vin, I just want to do what I can to help preserve the info that is here. I must admit, since the big hack I have not been a very faithful member here. http://www.zl-oa.com is where you will usually find me and most of past active members from here.

I have just put my ZL900 up, I am planning on doing some work on her.I have just recieved my full stock exhaust off of e bay(got it for a steal) timing chain and guides a new base pan, the other is still weeping around the drain plug.I just jetted with Dyno jet stage one never drilled the slides and not a hitch with it at all. I have the tank lined so it wont rust I think the stuff is called Kreem. I will miss her but it is for her owne good.
I have purchased a brand new bike and it is a real power house, I am now the owner of a 2007 Kawasaki ZX 1400 Ninja. I am enjoying her alot ill post a few pics in my album in a while.

Congrats on the new purchase! Glad to hear your finding your parts. Keep us posted on the progress

Please keep us posted, and while you are at it, park that ZX and the ZL side by side and look to see if a motor swap could be in the works...I want a ZL1400 (no offense MachIV)
moab...

Actually there is a zx 1400 motor on ebay right now, as for it fitting I think there might be a bit of cutting involved. The zx 1400 is a power monster gonna take a while to get uist to.

Good thing I didn't bid I was looking at a complete stock exh on ebay too and was looking real close when it went for the price it did.

I got the exhaust for a real good price.I am planning to start the bike within the next few weeks I just want to make shur I have everything I need so there wont be any hang ups.I could be on here asking questions when it comes time to do the timing but I guess one step at a time.

Really??? I never had a hitch with it found it really good actually. I guess it is like the Dyno jet kit as well LOL!!! never had a hitch with that either.

I have bad memories from the first time I used Kreme, it was my own damn fault, let it get too thick in the tank and it peeled loose from the steel after a year. Kinda like running a bladder inside the tank. It would have been ok cept for the air trapped between the "bladder" and the tank. When it heated up from the motor, the air expanded and pushed my fuel out the fill cap! LESSON LEARNED!!! Don't let it get too thick!

I've used Kreem in a lot of tanks and have had no problems at all put it in my ZL when I got it. My tank was in good shape I just did it to keep it that way. any way good luck and I hope to see some pics

I have just finished installing the base pan on the eliminator no problems whatsoever, while I had that out of the way I installed the stock exhaust as well. I must say I enjoy the sound she makes now rather than before. I will be tackeling the timing at a later date. I am also in the process of puttin up the ZX 14 for the winter, I got her at the end of August and now have 6350 KM on her never stoppede much lol.Peace...

I heard from my mechanic that kreeming a tank can be bad. Both sides of the story seem to be told here.. is it more to do with the install rather than the product itself? The tank on my bike has been kremed by the previous owner and my worry is that since it sat for close to three years, would I maybe run the risk of some sort of reaction occuring with the gas and the tank lining?

I've used both Kreem & POR-15. Both woked. The tank prep is the key, follow the instructions. Personnaly seemed to me that the por15 is by far better than the Kreem. Next tank without a doubt will be lined with POR-15.
