After picking holes in it, to be truthfull, you don't see many in good shape like that one. Good photographs but I suspect they've been enhanced slightly in Photoshop. IMHO

Nice bike though and as Mark says, that's about the right price.

Except for the tires, and almost twice the miles, my bike is much nicer than that one.

The engine side covers are painted.
The fan shroud has been painted.
Dents
Muffler scraped.

He did a nice cleaning and has very nice matching tires. I really would have to see this one in person.

I also wonder if it actually sold or did someone bid it up for him, it mentions that reserve was $3500, but it appears the bike is sold for $3450

Very nice condition. Above noted discrepancies were noticed. This one was monitored by my brother and myself for several days. Front fender has an 'issue' or 'photographic anomoly'? Not to mention he's dumped several bottles of armour all on it lol.

Still great condition and a bargain none the less. I'm sure if we allready didn't all own one we'd be at blows getting at it lol.

Geesh, tough crowd! But, as long as we're pickin this apart... Do all the 900 seats have a gap that shows the frame behind the tank?

They do. Some worse than others. The gap probably could have been 'eliminated' <pun> but then our seats would have to open sideways instead of up and forwards, maybe?
That extra inch or so could have been used for an extra .5 liter gas tank!!!! lol

Very shiney engine.... Even in underneath behind the head... If he painted it, I hope he keyed it well otherwise the whole lot will turn to **** once he puts some miles on it... IMHO, I prefer the engine in satin black, Shiney doesnt do it for me...

Mine has a gap of about 1 inch.

i see many sellers at least list a few defects as a matter of conscience.
"great shape for it's age" and a bunch of factory spec's - like who would pay that money or even consider a bike that old unless they knew what it was.

oh and gee, just had to let u know how pretty it is. thats not a plant, huh.? reminds me of the idiots that call a radio station gushing with affection.

i saw one for a zl1000 where a fellow wrote just to tell the seller how much he would get for the bike. a similar (maybe same?) bike had "sold" for over 9,000.00 usd a few weeks prior.

kawtipper - yep

Ooops. Guess I should read through all of the posts before I run off at the mouth - hahahaha.
