When you drive you Eliminator.... can you see something in your mirror ?

Do you guys know something that can be done, like mirror extension or something in order to be able to use these mirror.

thanks.

Different mirrors with longer stems or bar end mirrors might be an option.

i have the same prob., but i turn my head & look unless traffic is heavy. CHRIS

I've got a lovely view of my arm and armpit, so no, grabber, I'd say it's the mirror position themselves.

I replaced my OEM ones with rectangular cruiser type ones and I can see fine now, as long as I turn my head to look directly at the mirror, rather than just glancing at it out of the corner of my eye.

I'm trying to find some mirrors that have a convex shape to the glass, that way the images in the mirror are slightly smaller, but you have a wide-angle view, sorta like a fish-eye. Harley Davidson OEM mirrors are like that, they have the "Images look slightly smaller then they appear" message written on the bottom of the mirror. I think it would solve the problem, personally.

Mick.

It gives them the "sensation" of pulling away fast. :rotf:

OK guys, ye're making me paranoid now.
I can see just fine with my mirrors, OK i see the top edge of my shoulders but in general I can see fine behind me... I'm 5'10" so I aint really short... I'm pretty broad too and at 230lbs not skinny...lol.... WTF...?
The mirrors I have are aftermarket but they are as close as I could get to the originals...?? I have the std ZL handlebars as far as I know..

Do my mirrors stick out more than your ones??? I believe these are stock, or am I wrong?

I've got rectangular ones on my ZL900, prefer them to round mirrors, same as Mick.

I can see the edge of my arms in the mirrors, maybe 1cm or less of the mirror shows my arms. But that's where I've set them up, lets me see what's directly behind me if someone decides to drive right up my ass, but still allows me to see the road as well.

I also have aftermarket rectangle's on my ZL1k, I can see Mark behind me every time I crack the throttle! :stir: :rotf: :cool10:
