zl 900 windshield

Does anyone have any experience with a National f16 windshield? Just found one for $59.95 and was wondering if any mods are necessary to fit it to the bike. Looks like it will just attach to the headlight bracket. The only one I have found that looks good on the bike.

Just put the windshield on, fit with a little adjustment with some heat to fit around the tach and speedo, but looks great and takes most of the wind off the chest. Makes a big difference at speed!! highly reccomend, 15 minute installation.

I already got a great backrest -- thanks furchin! -- but these pics got me to thinking about hand deflectors

Does anyone have any opinions on how the pegs might look / work on a 900?

Joe, Do you already have crash bars on your bike? If you do then the pegs may work. If you don't have them on your bike they are impossible to find. I am having a set made right now (hopefully). The bars came with the last bike that I purchased so I figured that I would have them made since the welder can look at the existing ones and use them as a template. Hope it works. If you need a set of bars and these work out maybe I can help you. Have to wait and see. Martin (aka Furchin)
 
Nope, no crash bars -- 100% stock except for the backrest. Won't they mount anywhere else? Long rides get a little uncomfortable, i'd really like to stretch out a bit.

joe, it could be done without the crash bars but would take some kind of custom setup to mount the pegs. When and if my welder gets the bars done I can send you a pic of what they look like. By the way, glad you like the sissy bar. Told you ya would. Keep in touch. Furchin
 
CAN ANYONE GIVE ME THE JET SIZE OR PART NUMBER FOR REJETTING MY 900 CARBS TO SUIT K&N FILTERS PLEASE(NOT SURE IF MINE HAVE BEEN DONE OR NOT) :detective: :detective: ANDY
 
If you look on the dynojet web site they let you download the fitting instructions which also give the jet sizes, just remember they use their own numbers. Easy enough to buy the dynojet ones, just ask at a DJ dealer, think I paid about £1.50 each last time. If you want to fit original ones then there are sites on the net that will convert the sizes.
