Keep your eyes open for a used bike

When i bought my bike, it had been babied its whole life and was in absolutely perfect condition, and $100 under KBB. I'm trying to make lightening strike twice by finding another bike for my wife. It'll be her first, and hopefully one that she can keep for a while. I'd love to put her on a ZL600, or something of that nature. Maybe a Honda Shadow 650-750, or some other medium cruiser.

Specs: 550 to 750 cc's, 400 to 500 lbs, short seat height, cruiser, appropriately priced according to KBB, but under $2500 (the less, the better). Willing to travel for a good bike/deal if it makes sense.

I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks y'all.

Just registered and want to say hello.
I live in Ireland and have just brought my ZL out of its long nap under wraps in the corner of my workshop.
I'm putting it back on the road soon and am thouroughly enjoying the strip down and rebuild I'm doing at the moment.
It is a completely stock ZL 750, one of only 3 750's in this country as far as I'm aware. I do know the other 2 have been chopped and painted etc so I guess I have the only stock 750. Spare parts are like "hens teeth" as my dad would say so the rebuild is super slow and extremely careful.
SO I'm about to post a tech question about an electrical fault in another thread but just wanted to say hi to ye here first, hope to make ye're acquaintence over the next few weeks.

BTW, thanks to Rick_in_WA for the direction's... :thumbleft:

Oh, Heres a photo of it taken a few years ago at the early stages of its hibernation, note most of the metal chromed bits, knee guards, etc were removed and brought into the house to prevent 'rustitis'.

WELCOME I am glad to see you found "us", I would kill for a 750, extreemly rare here. from what I gather the 750 was a real bastard in the US bike world. numbers are very very thin. I honestly dont know anything about the 750, but I would think that Kawasaki tuned it like the 9, ~huge grunt on the bottom~ with different cams and carbs than the gpz has. please feel free to look around ask questions, you will be suprized at the ammount of responce you will get from these guys and you can catch allot of us on MSN also
