Kawasaki's ZL900 Float bowl part #?

hello everyone:
i am a new member to K.E.R.A.I just purchased an 85 zl900 in sept.and have lots of questions that iam finding the ansewers to on this site.thanks to you all.my Eli has 30k and is in nice condition.but i fear it has had a tough life.so i am going over her with a fine tooth comb.to try and get her perfect again.if anyone has any suggestions.i would be thankful for them.
 
Hi all:

Anyone out there happen to know Kawasaki's part # for the ZL900's float bowl (for the carburetor)? I've looked at their site (buykawasaki.com), but oddly, in the diagrams and the part listings, this # does not seem to be listed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

float bowl #

Try the following part number 16031-1056. This float bowl fits a lot of different bikes according to my cross reference manual.
 
ok........... anouther question.......... anyone able to tell me the part number for the diaphram cover IE: the "Top" of the carb I busted one of mine today
 
Ok, I'll send you the plastic top (free) for the carb, the whole carb would be pricey here for shipping. Get her back to running.

Rick, The top is mailed off to you and hopefully that is all you need for the carb. Let me know if you need anything else for it.

I don't know about the nice guy part, but the pervert fits pretty much to what I am and in one of the best places to do the perving. :rotf:

A fact that you keep reminding us of :) But it's all good, I don't need to perve, got all I need in my girlfriend.
 
Float chamber part #

Thanks for the part # info, folks....actually, though, you gave me the part # for the float itself, not the "float chamber" (which I erroneously called the "float bowl" in my earlier question.) The float goes INSIDE the body of the float chamber,

I checked out the buykawasaki.com website (I visit there often), in the "Carburetor Parts" listing for the ZL900...the 16031-1056 is actually the number of the float itself. The part # I am looking for is the black metal body at the underside of the carb (4 of them on the ZL900) that the float chamber o-ring (part # 92055-1222) goes into and that the drain screws screw into. Interestingly, and annoyingly, the buykawasaki.com site doesn't give the # for the "float chamber".

Any help getting this # would be great. Thanks!

That is odd that they don't list a part # on any of the three sites that I checked. I did get part # on the Concours micro-fiche, you should be able to cross ref. the part #s' with proper carb size and going that route.
I am not sure of the 900 carb size but there is two #'s for the concours, right and left side.

Concours float chambers on a ZL900?

So, I guess maybe the Concours float chambers may work? I'd love to know if anyone out there has done this, what year Concours they got the chambers from, etc.

Anyone know about this? Thanks!
