CASE GAUDS

I' M IN NEED OF SOME ENGINE GAURDS/CASE GAURDS,FOR ZL1000
 
Well guys .. I won the bidding on those crashbars/case guards .. but to date .. some 4 days later despite numerous emails requesting a total etc, I've had no reply whatsoever!!!! Every email comes back saying no such email address/postbox!!! Damn, damn, damn, even though there is a slight mark on the bars I figured at the price, they'd be cheaper than replacing casings/assorted engine bits if I should ever lay my "Eli" down and not be quick enough to slide underneath her to "protect" her .. hahaha.

Anybody here speak German and lives in the Berlin area wanna PM me and I'll give ya the sellers phone number and ya can give them a blast for/from me to get their backside into gear and reply to me!!

Any help appreciated .. of course if any of you have a set of crashbars/case guards ya wanna sell me :D :D if this deal falls through

Hi to Aussieland,

what about taking the "ebay-way" to contact the "Berlinminator" by "ask seller a question". This guy is selling time by time parts at german ebay so the deal should work well, even to down under. He wrote that the shipping costs have to be checked out in advance... :roll: Sorry, I'm not living around the Berlin area and don't know someone there...
Ask furchin for the text translation of the item, I made one for him.

Rossco1, Hey, furchin here, I too tried to get in contact with this seller through several e-bay contacts. Always came back no e-mail box available. Think this might be a scam. Hope you did'nt loose any money over this S*&%T head. He doesn't sound very reliable. Maybe in some lucky way he belongs to an eli site and will get the message that he sucks.

Hi, your experiences make me angry a bit so PM me the address and phone-#, a call is it worth to me to find out if he's really the bastard he seems to be - keep you posted. In bad case should inform ebay Germany about this...

BRAVO to you harriminator, give 'em hell if you can. I don't know if an address or phone # will be possible since no contact can be made with this illigitamate seller but I would like to see him or her reprimanded for screwing with Eli riders. Go string 'em up if you can.

Just looked at german ebay and he's selling again some eli stuff with the notice: if you have any questions - email me! So when Rossco1 made the deal he has the phone # and I can checkout what is right and what is wrong...

Hi guys .. thanks heaps for your replies!!

By way of an update .. I've had contact with the seelr finally, sent payment via "International Money Transfer" and have emailed them a copy of the paperwork I received as a receipt.

The "seller" seems to be extremely slack when it comes to communication so I am hoping now that I've made payment etc that everything goes okay.

I'm reasonably new to buying internationally over EBay so maybe sometimes contact takes a little while but I was certainly surprised when after 4 or so days I hadn't heard anything from them regarding the "sale".

Anyways, fingers crossed that all goes well and that I receive my parts without any problems ...

Thanks again for your replies and your "support" and I'll keep you posted as to how things go ..

I recon if you cut the frame, just between the seat and the tank, and at the bottom of the frame cut across the frame just rear of the transmission, you'd manage two sizable pieces.... Oh, take the wheels off too, that'll lighten your load 5555555555555555555


But seriously A, be careful.... thats a dangerous lump of iron you're gettin up those stairs, be safe buddy, think long and hard about your plan and do it slow. Dont wanna hear about you gettin hurt... Make sure you have a good few buddies to help.

You have a web cam, dontcha?

Why not set up the webcam..... pointing it at the stairs...... and start off the MSN link..........but give us at least 2 hours notice before you start extracting the beast from the depths? (I'll need 2 hours to get a case of beers and some popcorn) 55555555555555

" beam me up Scotty ! :rotf: seriously! be careful ! i've tried that one before, & my leg did'nt like it too much ! same with the walls, & turn signals.
 
Ok, serious suggestion. Plank of wood in the middle of the stairs, but only in the middle so you can still use the steps. Also, is there anything outside the door that is solid? If there is then you could tie some rope onto the frame, loop it around the solid object and have someone there to keep the rope tight. Then you've got someone outside that'll be able to hold the bike in place while you move around it as you push/pull it up the stairs.

OR

Take off the hand rail, open the door, couple of planks over the stairs to completely cover them. Then open that throttle, and don't forget to film it. :D
