Most expensive ZL on eBay??

Ok, couldn't understand a word of that advert, except that he seems to think it's 1100cc?

OK. If I'm reading this right (where's Harri when you need him?) the guy wanted a 900 but couldn't get one, so he bought a 1000 and proceeded to make it LOOK like a 900 changing just about everything along the way. Including , the front end, engine, changing the shaft for a chain, upgrading the brakes, shocks, wheels, airbox/pods, seat.
Thats probably why he has soooo much money down in it.

Hey ...an idea has just occurred to me....

......for you guys that wanted a bigger tank and were worried about modifying the seat on your 900.....just buy a ZL1000 and swap all the bits accross to make it LOOK like a 900 :rotf:

Ok, hopefully I'm not the only one that spotted this bit, but how does changing it from shaft to chain make it look more like a ZL900? Leaving it as a shaft would have been better.

I agree KK, and how does a ZX front end fit in there too??????

gee, that is some hotly contested bidding thusfar.

looks nice, but who says it all works?

even if it does, who needs all that? one could still get a newer model, for half the beans, if performance is the objective.

and the degrees of seperation b/t stock, and what he has done, take back what they give when the outer limits of performance are touched. That is:
the risk grows faster than the safety envelope expands.

It does appear to be a fine piece of local workmanship.
where is the demand?

I do like the front end, USD forks...nice. Gives the front end a meaner more "up to it" look...

Hate the rear missing duckbill......

Nice work though, a lot of work gone into it... hope he's not too dissapointed with the lack of bids....

like the wheels too, I'll bet the front brakes are awesome...

If big K decided to make another ZL then that is what it should look like. Nice balance of old and new.

From what he says he still has at least 3/4 of a bike left from the original. Strange man.

I'd be first in line if they were to sell an upgraded version of the ZL..

From the picture it looks like the shaft has been replaced with a chain. I know the chain will save weight but I like the way the shaft lifts up the back of the bike and shoots it down the street. Kawa just needs to suck it up and release a 1400 Eliminator so that there wouldn't be any questions of having the badest street bike around.

Chain or belt puts more HP on the ground too!

Hey anyone want to translate and tell me what he "done" to get those brakes?
