ZL600A US 1986 repair manuel needed

Hello,

I have a ZL600A US 1986
The previous ohner has done no maintenance on the bike.

When i bought it, the only things that were good , are the tires.

So, to get the bike in better shape i need a repair manuel (copy)

I live in the netherlands.

I got myself one of those CD's .. it's excellent!! Sure, you're buying a whole lotta info that doesn't pertain to your/my particular model, BUT, the ability to cross reference which parts were fitted to what other models makes buying parts a helluva lot easier!! For the price I'd highly recommend it!!!

I've found that checking different parts/part numbers has enabled me to grab stuff off eBay that wasn't neccessarily advertised as being for my particular model (ZL1000) ....

That's my 2 cents worth . now I'll shuddup haha...

Someone in the Netherlands has a service workbook org. for me!

I´ve repair the exhaust pipes, and change the oil and sparks.

It sounds a lot better!

CD Cross Reference

Ordered, for no Shipping you can download. 30 meg file. Installed it runs great.

Quick, painless, and it has pretty much EVERYthing Kaw makes.

Lists gaskets, brackets, wires.....

Order, you will get an email confirmation. Then you either send an Email or an inquiry with your confirmation number.

Then you will get an Email from Steve Zedder. You copy the Email entirely. You paste it into the box and the program unlocks.

The whole thing took about 8 hours from the order to the Email reply. No shipping and no Post office to lose the box.
 
My understanding is that this is a parts manual, not a repair manual. Is that correct?
 
it is a Cross reference checker. It has what part goes on what bike and the other bikes it was used on also. Years, numbers makes, models.

I have a manual. Most Engine parts you can get. But some minor stuff ya gotta find.
 
I need a front wheel/rim for my wife's 96 600. It's a spoked wheel, but this link at bikebandit.com shows a picture of one that's not spoked : http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandi...odel_dept_name~Eliminator++600(ZL600B2)US.asp

It's definitely the wrong picture, but could it possibly be the right part # (41073)?. If so, i'd appreciate it if anyone could cross reference it to see if #1 it is in fact a spoked wheel like i need and #2 if the same wheel fits any other bike so i can find a used one easier. Thanks
 
Looks like all the wheels start with 41073 then - XXXX

The listing parts wise is spoke rear, front, rim bands....

When I look up wheels the only wheels are for 96 or 97 Eliminators only.

Not all are cross parted to other bikes.

Mine has a small sissy bar with a back pad '86 and it was only on certain models as far as I can see.

Looks like the spokes can be obtained but outta luck on the rim.
 
My '85 Eli came without a tach. Anyone know a good place to find one? Haven't seen one on eBay. Is it a standard Kawasaki type or unique to the Eliminators?

The Eli being an electric tach is a bit harder to find as most are cable driven. A tech off ebay can set you back $70 more or less depending on your luck. There ae aftermarket models, but they are $200 and up. They must be another model that can be swapped over, I just haven't really looked into it yet.
