Missed the site,, seems like forever! I have been too busy to worry about it though. I am out to fire up the ZL this afternoon, battery on the charger, oil in the trunk I am ready for the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all!!! Long time since I have been on... some personal business kept me from coming on here for a while and then I lost internet for a while.... yada yada yada.
Anyway, it seems in order to "make our service better" our beloved web serving host changed over servers that the site was running on and in the process gangle screwed the whole lot. Just about every functionality in the site was affected. We still have issues with registration, logging in with the forums. I know this because it wouldn't even let me log in at first. In the order of priorities I got the forums up and running at least a little. I have a renewed vigor to get everything else going as well so I will be diligently working on that over the next few weeks. You guys should start seeing more of the old site type of content coming back soon.
Please bear with me guys, this site is not, and WILL NOT disappear like a lot of others that have come and gone over the past several years.
We will persevere...

Thanks for having me on the forum.
About me:
I spent years restoring and chopping british twins & singles & jap4's but no more.
I now have 3 kawks that are pretty old one a GT750 shaft with 124000 on the clock and a blown head gasket so it's now retired also known to some as madmax.
I have 2 1985 zl900's rusty red and a black one,both have 19000 on the clock rusty is used everyday and night no matter the weather or time of the year.The black one is in need of parts to complete but not that much thanks to ebay.
I still have a few british bikes 2 350cc royal enfields 53 modelG and 59Bullet and 1 triumph 500cc daytona ex chop all need to be restored but half way through them all until I lost interest in sourcing good parts so now restinpieces or rustinpieces whatever suits you to call them.
I live in the north of Ireland so it pisses pretty much every day,not a good place to have classic bikes or any bikes for that matter unless they are made of plastic and you will never catch me riding something like that
with my matching racing leathers kitted with full body armour and boots and gloves to match just like the decor of someones house,noway it must stop somewhere. OldSchool to the death
Anyway this will probably be my only post ever iv'e been on too many forums where the members where armed with flame throwers and seen too many people burned because of something they said,but if I can help I will try

Thanks for getting this site up and running gentlemen. I'll go ahead and step out of the shadows. I'm down here in Alabama with an '85 900 that I've owned for about 6 months. My previous bikes were v-twins, but when the last one was stolen I thought I'd try something different. My Eli had sat for quite a while (I'm finding out a lot longer than the previous owner admitted to) so it's taken me a while to get it running. After rebuilding the carbs, chasing down vacuum leaks, fuel leaks, clutch rattles, and electrical gremlins I got her running pretty good. Of course on the first long ride out both fork seals blew like Texas gushers so I'm waiting on new seals right now.
Great to have a forum to get advice from some knowledgeable guys. My old bikes were pretty new so I never had to do a lot of maintenance. I'm getting to know this bike inside out. Great bike, lots of fun, very different world from v-twins.
