Anybody interested?

I've got a 4 into 1 header system for a 900 that I bought off of eBay last
fall. I have decided not to use it and thought that I would offer it for sale here before listing it on eBay. It needs cleaning up and paint, but is really in decent shape. Not looking to rape anyone on the price, but I won't give it away either. If interested let me know.

I'm not sure who made it, as there are no markings on the system, but
the guy I got it from said that he thought it was a D&D.

4 into 1

Hi, if its a D&D then I am intrested also. Name a price. I am picking up my 86 ZL 900 next week and I use to have one (a 85) wiht a D&D and loved it. Where are you located? Is it all there with the end pieces also ? Complete system is what I am asking. Thank you, Mr Matt

I don't what brand it is, so I'll just describe it for you. It disassembles into 7 major pieces (4 headpipes, collector, tailpipe, and an aluminum canister type muffler). It has been scraped where one of the pipes goes into the collector that can be easily repaired, or you could use it as it is.
It needs to be cleaned up and refinished and will look very nice. It needs the 6 bolts to hold everything together (standard allen head bolts) but other than that it is a complete system with the exhaust flanges included.
I could take some pictures for anyone interested. I am located in Marion, IN.

Exhaust

Please send some pix. What are you looking to get for it? Did you do any research on what the jetting changes would be to compenstae for the exhaust. Please send pix of where the damage is so I can get a good look at it. Could this be powder coated ? thank you, Mr Matt

Dibs

You can have first dibs whatever that is?? I just want a shot at the exhaust. lol, Mr Matt

Pipe smoking? Dibs?

Pipe, Pipe? Did you say pipe? Just checking here to see if you got pix yet? Mach, just what is a dib? What color is it? If I have some would you be willing to trade the pipe if you get it for some?
Just checking here to see whats updated, big smile.
Just messing with ya Mach, lol, Matty 8)

If it's a D&D I used to have a set. worked great and sounded Bad Ass!!! The only down fall is they hang REALY, REALY low. You inevitably scrape the bottum of the 4-1 especially in tight bumpy corners. A couple times I thought I was going to rip the damn thing off I hit so hard. But like I said, they work great and make your bike sound absolutely nasty!

Do you remember jetting changes??

I know, I remember the same feeling I had when I had my 85 way back when. I remember hitting and scraping also. Do you know what the jetting changes were though for putting the pipe on?? Thank you, Matt

Just a fallow-up on my earlyer post... I didn't intend to discourage anyone. Also, ironicaly I was serfing motorcycle adds and came accross an Eli' for sale with what looks like a newer D&D System. It looks like its made of stainless steel and tucked up to one side along the bottum frame rail, closer to the bike. The one I had on my ZL was one of the first set ups offered by D&D. It collected from four into one right smack in the middle, underneith the motor where there seams to be, for some odd reason, a little fin that caused them sling the pipes so low. Anyways you can see what I'm talking about if you look at my profile photos and compair them with the Eli I saw at www.wowmotorcycles.com.

Oh and "Mr.-Matt",
I don't know what the jetting was set at, because it had already been done by the guy I baugt it from. Sorrey...

AAAAAHHHH!

What a week! I have had a major systems crash and I lost all my emails!! Could you send pix again please. My new addy is
[email protected] I hate to ask but the major meltdown even made me switch to a cable modem and I lost all my mail in the transfer. That will teach me to take my time next time around. Thank you, Mr-Matt

Exhaust

I am going to pass at this time. I sent you a email also. Thank you again for your time and patient's. Matt

I was wondering if anyone elce had interest in doing the quarter mile on their bikes? I made one pass on mine so far first when I got her, carbs were gummed up and wasnt workin all the best.
I staged and when the lights dropped I broke the tire loose for the first ten feet or so still a good pass. I ran a 12.263 [email protected] MPH with a reaction time of 0.954.
I think ill do better this year carbs cleaned and a overall better running bike 4 into 1 D N D system. Post your quarter mile times if you have them love to see how your times are.
