Do any 600 owners have spare throtle cables around, and if so, could you measure the length of both the metal cables and the length of the plastic covers?
Thanks, Al J

Hey Kawtipper, you looking to mod or just replace? I just saw some 600 cables on evilbay.

Where you at in MN? I am MN native and a couple others on here from there also.

Acually, I'm looking to replace the cables on my ZL1000, they are no longer in production. I'm trying to get out of buying custom ones and disabling my bike till their done. I was wondering if the 600 were longer than the 900's. I think the 900's were about 36 1/2" and I need about 39". I live west of MPLS about 70 miles just south of Hutchinson.
ps: if any 900 owners want a free closin cable let me know.

Hey, KawTipper, thats where I grew up!!

Many hangover memories from the Marion Ballroom and the Gibbon Ballroom. Had very good friends in Brownton!

I grew up by Buffalo Lake

Parents live just outside Silver Lake!

Small world!! Next time I am in-state we should hook up!

'Tipper, I could use that close cable, I am in Austin, MN....
And include me in that meeting, boys, I have yet to meet a jerk on here yet.

Mine broke on the way home from Sturgis and I just put the 900's in on Thursday, I had to run it behind the bars. I don't know if it helps take any load off the openin cable but it seems to help during downshifting. You can have it when I take it back off.

Throttle cables

Motion Pro will make up cables for the ZL900. I got a set of stainless cables for my ZL1000 and they fit fine. I am using ZL900 bars however. They will also make choke and speedo cables out of braided stainless. A little pricey at $61 per cable but I plan on keeping my bike and they look and funtion great.
