Hi guys and gals, this question may sound dumb to some of you who know but is the drive hub interchangeable between 400, 500, 600, 750, 900 & 1000 models ?
And will doing this change final drive ratios and top speed?
Or would i be better of just changing wheel and tyre diameter to increase top speed?

Well if your seriously thinking about this i would have to take into consideration the performance you have now. Once you get moving that fast the wind resistance really slows you down and a final gear ratio change may do ya no good or little good.

Me again. 
It's not about speeding it's about doing the speed limit comfortably.The speed limit in OZ is 110kph on some highways, 100kph on most, that equates to around 60 mph, at that speed my 400 seems to be revving its little head off. While it may be great around suburbia i'd like to make it more rideable on highways.

To tell you the truth i can't remember. It's in pieces still after a fall and i'm still gathering parts. It just felt like it needed another gear and it's not that i'm used to slower revving bikes like v twins as this is my first bike. I tend to drive my corolla at high revs to, just like the sound it makes and it performs better too. (yeh i know i've got a lead foot and i'm a danger to other drivers blah blah)
