Elimiblurr Intro

First thanks to Ethan for helping with technical issues on my password
etc...I love this site man......1985..Austin Texas....I buy my first real
cycle...Gpz 1100....I went back and forth ...over ....the ninja and ...yes
the Eli......I have finally come full circle and bought the Eli of my
dreams......yes I paid too much for it.....but when you are in love strange
things happen....anyway.....5000 original miles....apparently a minor
scuffle with non material damage........strong engine....Red...is there any
other color? (no disrespect meant)...so.......Pods on airbox gone...jetkit
on the bench wating for install...avons front and rear....holeshots getting
ordered......I may even take the time to get it inspected one of these
days.........So questions: Do you think adjustable ign advance is
necessary......I'm leaning toward 4 degree fixed....what difference with a 5
degree advance.....also....side covers....will they adversely effect the air
flow to the pods? I like the look of the exposed pods but not the gaping
hole behind them.........maybe a custom side cover in stainless
screen......just thinking.......anyway.......great site...can't wait to get
to know you all........T-shirts for the house!!!! Uh..well maybe just one
for me....XL....where are they? right...the store........Elimiblurr

I have to tell all of you, buy the Spiegler brake lines, it was pricey at almost 300 bucks for the front rear and clutch lines, but they look great, fit great, and are almost 1/2 the diameter of the old lines, they are steel braided with covers (you can custom pick your colors for lines and ends) and include new aluminum washers, I'm telling you, they are sweet.I have some pics on my photo gallery, but I will try to post more once I get them all sinched up.

I dunno yet, but I am gonna guess a big yes on that, they are alot smaller and have stiffer construction than stock, I will let you know when I get all of the fluid in, I recommend them simply for the looks and fit, the performance should be there.

I got the clutch and all brake lines done by Spiegler, go to their site, they prolly ship overseas...Worth a try, these lines are nice!

I had a look on the Spiegler site before posting, they don't ship them here by the looks of it.

I'll ask around.

I'd offer to get then and ship 'em to ya, but I'm sure the shipping would be ridiculous that way. You should be able to find them with a little snoop work. The hose is a bit different, but the finished product is still made the same. Try the bike shops, hydrualic hose shops, race shops, even heavy truck parts houses. Someone should be able to point you in the right direction. There is a shop here locally that specializes in hoses and driveshafts. They sell powersteering and a/c hoses for about half what the stealerships do. That'll be my first stop in checking for hoses for mine. If they can do it, I'll be posting the prices.
