Electrical Diagram (ZL900) and Electric Fault Finding Chart

Due to the overwhelming response to the fact that I have the ZL900 wiring diagram, I have posted it on the site under the Maintenance section of The Garage. I also posted a Motorcycle fault finding chart that I found buried on my email so you guys chasing down those little demons may have a easier time.

That is going to help a lot of members! I too have a intermittant short as Rocky can attest to. My bike sat out in the drizzle at Mid Ohio, when we left I had no brake light, after shae got warmed up good it came back.
 
Printable format

I've got a floppy on the wiring diagram but can't get a legible copy of that (almost killed my computer trying that :roll: ) I would like to copy the fault finding chart but can't seem to get everything to print out. What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to make a reference book for all the different ideas and tips I find for future reference. Thanks for the info and keep up the great work.

It's a slow go getting parts but she'll get back up and run MF run when she's finished. :D
 
To print them out, you have a couple of options, either save the images to your hard drive and print them from one of any number of paint programs that give you the option to "print to fit" the page size, or maybe your software for your printer has the same feature and you can simply adjust the settings to make it print right.

Printing

Ethan, Thanks for the tip and have done the download and printed. Now if I can just find a complete gasket and seal set I'll be ready to start the engine work. Does anyone know of a source for this? Kawisaki doesn't sell a complete set and ordering each part is just too expensive. Thanks again,
 
I was curious if anyone here has the Supertrapp exhaust system for the ZL900, I got the 'Trapps from Rick, and they need a little help, I was just curious if anyone has changed the baffling or removed it, and if anyone has changed the baffle housing, where you got it, there were 3 nuts on mine and between the 12 screws holding the disks on, 7 were stripped all to $hit.....If anyone can help me that would be GREAT!

I'm not familiar with the screws and the nuts but I want to suggest if you can replace them use stainless hardware :albino:
 
Definetly. The only thing I've seen better than stainless harware on an exhaust system is bronze, but I wouldn't try it even if you can find it with that small of a fastener.
